Callaway Big Bertha Shatf?
The shaft on my driver all the way at the bottom near the head of the club has the top layer of fiber glass peeling, this is not major is maybe goes up half an inch and is about .5 centimeters wide. What can I do in order to prevent this from getting worse? I really like this driver and do not want a new shaft. Is there anything I can do? Also the little black plastic ring is gone.
The club warranty is long over, its like 6+ years old its one of the original graphite ones.
re shaft . under warranty. very little epoxy left. do not use the club. the shaft may break. head fly off. graphite shafts when they break are as sharp and as deadly as surgical steel. easy to injure yourself if breaks on downswing. rotar cuff will blow. playing partners at very high injury risk. please take to retailer. warranty will cover. it is a serious accident waiting to happen even easier. many club repair shops will have many many used shafts for your driver. would sell install for 25 dollars. aftermarket reshaft 60 plus dollars. not a problem to find used shaft. just check area that goes into haead for cracks. if this does not work. older callaways. same club on e bay 25 to 45 dollars plus shipping. not worth it. after market shaft then becomes best option. after markrt, due to increase in quality will be the best option. 2009 option shaft 2009 driver. good luck. after market may be the best option. best of luck
