Golf came to me as a way of corporate socializing. It was a favorite pass time of my ex-boss and I started golfing regularly as a way to impress him. I still remember the first time I had to leave a marker in front of him. I simply pulled out a coin, placed it behind the ball and picked the ball up. All was good except for that little smile on my ex-boss’ face.
Be in no doubt about the fact that the smile wasn’t very flattering or complimentary. That night when I got back home, I surfed the net for the best looking marker I could find and came up with a fantastic sterling silver medallion type marker. The price of the marker was just right for me. So I ordered it and it arrived just in time for the next game.
To cut it short, this time I was the one smiling when my boss used his usual and boring polished metal marker. The tables had turned back then and I still use that marker in friendly matches.
Now that I am my own boss, I make sure that I have a stunning collection of golf accessories when I meet my clients out on the links. It helps make a great first impression on them and you won’t believe how many deals I have sealed on the greens.
